Thank You Project
Let’s use more photos – do we have some photogallery from the event?
The main goal of the “Thank You Project” is to commemorate the return of democracy to Eastern Europe after the collapse of communism in 1989. The initiative was tailored for citizens of both Latin America and Europe to raise awareness about these ongoing changes.
The “Thank You Project” included a sizable campaign in Prague on November 17th–the 25th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia.
Hundreds of people partook in an old-fashioned “happening” carrying portraits of the main architects of the democratic changes, including Václav Havel, Lech Wałęsa, Mikhail Gorbachev, John Paul II, Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.
This campaign was promoted through a series of media events, social-network campaigns and billboards in public areas.
We believe that the “Thank You Project” will help to remind the new generations the value of the daily liberties they see as normal and natural, but that their parents struggled to make a reality.
